  • Financial Details: The extension includes an annual fixed payment of approximately €28 million, potential bonuses up to €35 million, and a €27 million signing bonus, totaling €300 million over the six-year extension.
  • Long-Standing Relationship: Puma has been Borussia Dortmund's official kit supplier since the 2012-13 season, with the extension cementing over two decades of collaboration.

Update: Puma and Dortmund have announced the extension of their successful partnership. The new long-term contract ensures the PUMA cat will continue to feature on BVB's famous black and yellow kits for years to come.

Borussia Dortmund Extends Landmark Puma Kit Deal Until 2034

PUMA has been Borussia Dortmund's official kit supplier since the 2012-13 season. Over the past decade, the partnership has been incredibly successful, with highlights including reaching the 2013 Champions League final and winning the DFB-Pokal multiple times.

Although there has been no official announcement regarding the contract extension, previous reports indicate that the existing deal between BVB and Puma is set to run until 2028. The reported extension would prolong the partnership until 2034, marking an exceptionally long and successful relationship between the club and the German sportswear giant.

BVB Managing Director, Carsten Cramer, stated:

PUMA has been more than a supplier; they have been a true and reliable partner for over a decade. We feel very well taken care of with PUMA, and we are thrilled to continue our journey together.

According to the report, the extended deal is set to be highly lucrative for Borussia Dortmund:

  • Annual Fixed Sum: A fixed annual payment of approximately €28 million
  • Potential Bonuses: Through bonus payments (likely tied to on-pitch success), this annual figure could rise to as much as €35 million
  • Signing Bonus: Furthermore, Dortmund are reportedly set to receive a one-off signing bonus of €27 million upon formalizing the extension
  • Total Value: The agreement is said to be worth €300 million (6 [years] * €28 million + €27 million) over the six-year extension period (from 2028 to 2034)

This new agreement would represent one of the largest commercial deals in Borussia Dortmund's history and is thought to have been orchestrated by outgoing CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke as one of his final major acts.

Puma and Borussia Dortmund have a rich history, with their partnership initially beginning in 2012.

At the time of the 2019 renewal, Watzke stated, "Puma has long been not just a supplier and sponsor, but also a heavyweight in our club's shareholder structure," highlighting the deep-rooted nature of their collaboration.

This reported extension until 2034 would see Puma outfit Borussia Dortmund for over two decades, cementing their place as a key partner in the club's modern era.

Ederson Continues Cutting Sleeves at Fenerbahçe

Heading into his second season in the Süper Lig, the 33-year-old goalkeeper was once again spotted taking the pitch in a cut-sleeve jersey. Simply because Fenerbahçe does not offer a short-sleeve kit option from Adidas.

At his previous clubs like Rio Ave, Benfica, and Manchester City, Ederson always had short-sleeve versions to him. His time at Fenerbahçe marks one of the rare instances in his professional career where Ederson has worn long sleeves on the pitch.

Special thanks to What The Kit for the spot and the collage.

Bordeaux 26-27 Away Kit Released

Following the launch of their home strip, Girondins de Bordeaux and Hummel have officially unveiled the club's new away kit for the 26-27 season. Amidst severe off-pitch turmoil and administrative relegation to the amateur leagues, the French club has looked to the most celebrated period in its history for design inspiration, presenting a shirt that pays tribute to the famous 1986-87 double-winning side.

The Hummel Bordeaux 26-27 away jersey is predominantly white, framed by dark navy panels across the shoulders and sleeves that house the Danish brand's signature chevrons. A classic white polo collar features discreet red trim along the edges, which is echoed on the sleeve cuffs. Completing the retro aesthetic, the left chest bears the club's circular 1980s crest rather than the modern badge, delivering an unmistakable nod to the golden era.

Presented without a main shirt sponsor, the clean retro shirt maintains a bespoke feel despite the team competing outside the professional ranks in Régional 1. Hummel continues to stand by the club under its multi-year partnership, with the kit priced at €89.95.
