Next-Gen Adidas Predator 26 Prototype Boots Debuted in Premier League

  • Debut: Joe Gomez debuted the Adidas Predator 2026 prototype boots in a Premier League match.
  • Design: The Adidas Predator 2026 prototype features the return of the "wavy" Three Stripes, inspired by the Adidas Predator Precision from 2000, and a classic fold-over tongue.
  • Release: The official launch of the Adidas Predator 2026 boots is scheduled for late 2025.

Update: In a very unusual event, Liverpool's Joe Gomez debuted his whiteout prototype of the next-generation Adidas Predator 2026 football boots in last weekend's Premier League match vs Arsenal. He apparently liked the next-generation Preds so much that he immediately wanted to wear them - the 3 Stripes brand probably gave the go-ahead.

The first on-pitch images of the next-generation Adidas Predator 2026 football boots have surfaced, giving us our first real-life look at the highly anticipated new model.

Arsenal Women's player Michelle Agyemang was spotted wearing a whiteout prototype version of the boots during a recent training session.

Next-Gen Adidas Predator 26 Boots - Prototype Whiteout Version

The next-gen Adidas Predator 2026 prototype football shoes clearly show the return of the iconic "wavy" Three Stripes, a design element directly inspired by the legendary Adidas Predator Precision from the year 2000.

The prototype also features a classic fold-over tongue, another beloved feature from past Predator models.

One key element that is still a mystery is the soleplate. The Predator 2026 is expected to feature a completely redesigned soleplate, but it is not visible in these new on-pitch images.

The new Adidas Predator 2026 boots are scheduled for an official launch in late 2025, meaning their debut is only around four months away.

What do you think of this first look at the next-gen Adidas Predator 2026? Are you a fan of the Predator Precision-inspired stripes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Nike Air Max Joga Bonito Neon Shoes Released - Mercurial R9 Meets Air Max 95

Nike has expanded its football-inspired lifestyle footwear lineup with the release of the Air Max Joga Bonito in an iconic Neon colorway. Merging two legendary eras of Nike history, the hybrid sneaker fuses the sleek upper design of Ronaldo Nazario's famous 1998 Mercurial R9 boot with the sole unit and visible cushioning of the classic Air Max 95.

The shoe features a layered synthetic upper rendered in graphite and dark grey tones, framed by light grey piping and black mudguards. Vibrant Neon Yellow accents adorn the mini Swoosh, tongue logo, heel details, and visible Air cushioning units in both the forefoot and heel, creating a look that directly pays tribute to the original 1995 running classic.

Carrying style code IO1753-003, the Nike Air Max Joga Bonito Neon officially releases on August 1, 2026, for a retail price of $180 USD. The sneaker will be available through Nike.com and select global Nike Sportswear retailers.

Chilean League Kit Rules Could Force Colo-Colo Signing Vozinha to Drop Famous Nickname

Cabo Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who recently reached an agreement to join Chilean giants Colo-Colo following his standout performances at the 2026 World Cup, is facing an unexpected jersey regulation issue. According to official regulations enforced by the National Professional Football Association of Chile (ANFP), players are strictly forbidden from displaying nicknames on the back of their match shirts.

Under current league kit rules, players are only permitted to wear their official paternal or maternal surnames, optionally accompanied by a first initial. For the 40-year-old goalkeeper—whose full legal name is Josimar José Évora Dias—this mandate means his shirt would be restricted to reading Évora, Dias, or Évora Dias instead of the famous Vozinha name he has worn throughout his career.

Because the Vozinha name gained widespread global recognition during the tournament, Colo-Colo is concerned about the negative impact on shirt sales and marketing. The club has officially submitted a request to the ANFP seeking a special exemption, hoping to allow the goalkeeper to keep his familiar nickname on his official match kits.
