In a very unusual move, FC Barcelona will begin their 2025-26 La Liga campaign by wearing a kit from the previous season.

The club's official matchday graphic for their opening game against RCD Mallorca shows the players wearing 2024-25 third kit.

As Barcelona is playing away at RCD Mallorca, whose home kit is red and black, they cannot wear their new 25-26 home shirt. The logical choice would be to debut their brand-new 2025-26 "Mamba" away kit.

As you can see below, the new 'vanilla' colored away kit provides more than enough contrast with Mallorca's red and black home shirt, meaning there would be no issue with a kit clash.

Of course, the new 2025-26 third kit is not an option as it has not been released yet.
