Ultras in the Südkurve once again protested against Bayern’s 2025-26 home kit. Chants of “Wir wollen rot-weiße Trikots” (We want red-and-white kits) echoed through the Allianz Arena, with a banner reading “Ein Trikot - größer als alle anderen” and a tifo showing their preferred classic design.

The Bayern 25-26 home shirt is red and white but features a large “M” on the front to symbolize Munich. Many supporters have criticized the look, arguing it breaks with tradition.

The last time Bayern had a classic red-and-white home kit was in the 2020-21 season.

In an official statement, the Südkurve said the club is “chasing modern trends” instead of creating a clear and consistent identity. Fans want a permanent home kit: plain red with a white collar, similar to how other leading clubs would maintain iconic and instantly recognizable designs.

For the match, the organized fans sold red T-shirts with white collars.

However, the club essentially deceived them by having such a dark red that it looked black last season, while still following the rules. The rules also forbid having blue in the kit, which is actually a color often used for Bayern kits in the past - suboptimal.
