Reebok Wanted Israel to Remove Reebok Logos from Kits
- Initial Report: Reports surfaced that Reebok would remove its logo from Israel's national team kits due to boycott calls, leading to condemnation from the Israel FA.
- Reversal: Following discussions, Reebok confirmed that its logo will remain on Israel's national team shirts in all international fixtures.
- Deal Details: The Reebok deal was signed by a local licensee, not the global Reebok brand, potentially harming the brand's reputation.
Controversy surrounded Israel’s national team this week after reports suggested Reebok would remove its logo from the players’ kits. The US sportswear brand was said to have reacted to boycott calls, sparking outrage in Israel and strong criticism from the country’s football association.
Reebok Confirms Logo Will Remain on Israel’s National Team Kits
Initially, Israeli media, including Haaretz, reported that Reebok had decided to pull its branding following pressure from the BDS movement. The Israel FA quickly condemned the move, stating: “We regret that an international company appears to have bowed to irrelevant boycott threats.”
Now, after talks between IFA president Shino Zuaretz, Reebok representatives, and the local licensee, the situation has changed. A Reebok spokesperson confirmed that the company’s logo will continue to feature on Israel’s national team shirts in all international fixtures.
As per Footy Headlines' understanding, the Reebok deal was signed by the local licensee and not by the global Reebok brand, which usually should have been asked and approved the deal. It will be interesting to see how this story evolves, as the agreement surely harmed and could harm the Reebok brand.
The episode comes at a politically sensitive time, with UEFA expected to vote soon on Israel’s participation amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

LEAKED: Adidas to Upgrade Leeds United to Local Elite Tier
As spotted by @theadelites, a new customisation option on the Leeds United club shop website allows fans to chosse between replica and authentic kits (added by error too early). This probably means that Adidas has upgraded the club from the B Premium tier to one of the Local A Elite tiers. The move gives fans the option to select authentic kits built around advanced Climacool+ performance technology.
Reports from February indicated similar upgrades for clubs including Ajax and Lyon ahead of the 2026-27 season, but Adidas apparently postponed/scrapped these. Adidas previously already upgraded British teams Celtic, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United.
