- Hummel's Debut: If the deal is finalized, the 2026-27 season will be the first time Hummel sponsors Sampdoria.
A significant change is on the horizon for one of Italy's most iconic kits. According to reports from Italy, Sampdoria is set to end its long-standing partnership with Macron to sign a new deal with Danish brand Hummel.
The news comes from Sampdoria-focused outlet Il Cuore della Sud, which reports that the club has decided not to renew its contract with Macron.
Sampdoria to Leave Macron for Hummel
The Bologna-based brand has sponsored the Blucerchiati since the 2020-21 season. By the time the current 2025-26 campaign concludes, Macron and Sampdoria will have completed six seasons together. During this time, Macron produced several highly rated bespoke kits that respected the club's unique chest band tradition.
If the deal goes through, the 2026-27 season will mark a historic debut: Hummel has never sponsored Sampdoria before.
Neither the club nor the brands have officially confirmed the switch yet, but an announcement is expected in the coming months as the current season draws to a close.
