- Design Details: The rejected prototype features a light greyish-blue base with fluorescent yellow and black accents, including a bright neon yellow Nike Swoosh and Inter crest.
- Color Theme: The colors of the rejected kit are similar to the popular 1997-98 Third Kit and are planned for use in the 2026-2027 season, which may have contributed to the design's rejection.
An image of an unreleased Inter Milan 2025-2026 third kit prototype has surfaced online, giving us a look at a design that Nike/the club ultimately decided against. The picture was shared by shirt collector Semih Keçecioğlu.

The rejected Nike Inter 25-26 third shirt prototype features a light greyish-blue base color, combined with striking fluorescent yellow and black accents. The Nike Swoosh is placed on the right side of the chest, while a recolored Inter crest sits centrally, both colored in bright neon yellow to match the trim on the sleeve cuffs.
Nike and Inter will use similar colors for the 2026-2027 season, in the end
Indeed, these colors evoke memories of one of the most popular Inter change kits in history, the 97-98 Third Kit. These colors will be brought back for the 2026-2027 season, which might be one reason why the design was rejected.
The final Inter Milan 25-26 third kit used the same template, but with different colors. A navy gray base color was combined with orange.
Indeed, the final Nike Inter 25-26 third kit has not been popular with people, with a rating of just 2,73 out of 5 on Football Kit Archive. Seeing the initial reactions of fans, the rejected design would have been way more popular.
