2026 World Cup Sleeve Badges Released

  • Sleeve Badge Design: The 2026 World Cup sleeve badges will feature different designs, with standard teams using the regular logo and former champions receiving an exclusive gold badge.
  • Availability: The sleeve badges are not available for individual purchase and can only be acquired with Adidas 2026 World Cup kits or through FIFA-approved retailers.
  • Manufacturer and Distribution: Avery Dennison is the official manufacturer of the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges, with FIFA maintaining strict control over distribution to national federations, Adidas, and select retailers.

Update - Tuesday, May 26, 2026: Subside Sports has shared a very nice image of the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges, applied on several different Adidas 2026 World Cup kits. The retailer is not allowed to sell the badges separately.

Update - Saturday, May 23, 2026: We get a first look at the right sleeve badge for the 2026 World Cup. It comes with an updated "Football Unites the World FIFA" badge. This one is not available at all.

Update - Wednesday, May 13, 2026: We have a very important update about the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges. We recently reported on the newly revealed FIFA World Cup 2026 sleeve badges, initially stating that they were produced by Adidas. However, we have since received direct clarification regarding the true manufacturer of these highly anticipated kit accessories. Official correspondence has confirmed that Avery Dennison is actually the exclusive FIFA-licensed producer and supplier of the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges, not the German sportswear brand.

Beyond the clarification of the manufacturer, it has also been revealed that acquiring these authentic patches will be subject to incredibly strict distribution rules. Avery Dennison confirmed that the supply of the badges is heavily restricted solely to national federations, Adidas, and a highly exclusive list of FIFA-approved retailers. Furthermore, these approved retail partners are designated directly by FIFA itself, meaning the authentic badges will not be widely available as general, unrestricted retail accessories on the open market.

To enforce this exclusivity, FIFA maintains tight control over the entire distribution network. Approved retailers are required to sign strict contractual agreements outlining exactly who they are permitted to sell the patches to. Avery Dennison noted that any breach of these strict supply restrictions carries severe legal implications directly with FIFA. This means the official World Cup 2026 sleeve badges will be highly regulated and significantly harder for independent stores and individual collectors to source than previously thought.

Update - Wednesday, May 13, 2026: Footy Headlines can share real images of the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges.

Update - Tuesday, May 12, 2026: We have an awful update on the 2026 World Cup sleeve badges - they are "made by Adidas" and only available to buy with Adidas 2026 World Cup kits, as confirmed by store Subside Sports. This means that you cannot get them separately, and also not on any other kit than Adidas. What a pity.

With the 2026 World Cup just a month away, the first details regarding the tournament's official sleeve badges have surfaced. FIFA is set to introduce four distinct patch variations for the upcoming competition in North America. Huge thanks to Vietnamese kit freaks Chuyện Áo Đấu for the mock-up and World Soccer Shop for the first look.

2026 World Cup Sleeve Badges

Breaking from tradition, participating nations will wear different badges based on their historical tournament success. Standard teams will utilize the regular 2026 World Cup logo, which will be available in default light and dark variants to contrast appropriately with their respective kits. Meanwhile, the seven participating former World Cup champions will receive an exclusive badge design featuring a dominant gold colorway.

These new right-arm patches are expected to be officially unveiled in June. Alongside the main tournament badges, FIFA is also set to introduce a redesigned left-arm patch that will carry a brand-new campaign message.

The 2026 World Cup sleeve badges are not available to buy individually. However, World Soccer Shop already has them applied to Adidas 2026 World Cup shirts.
