Premier League Dual Sleeve Badge Rule
In their opening weekend match against Hull City, United wore their new off-white third kit with a Premier League patch only on the right arm, leaving the left sleeve completely blank. This inadvertently breached Premier League Rule M.15, which states that any club without a commercial sleeve sponsor on the left arm is required to display the official league badge on both sleeves.
The Red Devils entered the 26-27 campaign without a sleeve partner following the expiration of their agreement with DXC Technology at the end of last season. While other clubs without sleeve sponsors complied right from matchday 1, Manchester United apparently received a reminder from league officials and swiftly rectified the application on their 26-27 home kit for matchday 2.
