Spanish club Deportivo has officially announced a name change and unveiled an updated crest ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Deportivo La Coruña Becomes Deportivo de A Coruña

The club will now be known as Deportivo de A Coruña, moving away from the previous Deportivo La Coruña moniker. This update marks a return to its Galician roots. Since 1998, the city has officially been known as A Coruña in the regional official language, Galician (and no longer as La Coruña, which is the Castilian/Spanish form). After almost 30 years, the club has now brought its name into line with the official geographical name.

New Deportivo de A Coruña Logo

The updated Deportivo de A Coruña logo introduces several subtle but meaningful design changes. The text A Coruña is now centered within the badge, and the design sees the return of the original florones alongside a floating gemmed ring.

Other modifications include a serif cross, a diagonal pattern that references the iconic Torre de Hércules, and the introduction of new custom fonts named RCD Faro and Proa. The color palette has also been updated to feature specific shades dubbed Dorado Dépor and Azul Dépor.

Jorge Campos 1990s Goalkeeper Kits Inspire Nike Air Max 95 Sneaker

Nike has launched a special edition of the Air Max 95 Big Bubble, featuring a vibrant 'Hyper Pink/Green Strike' colorway. The striking multicolored woven design takes direct inspiration from the iconic goalkeeper kits worn by Mexican legend Jorge Campos during the 1990s.

Campos, known for his eccentric sweeper-keeper style, famously designed his own brightly colored, geometric goalkeeper shirts influenced by his childhood in Acapulco. The new Nike Air Max 95 translates these dazzling neon patterns into a woven upper, capturing the essence of the memorable kits that made Campos a standout figure on the pitch.

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble 'Hyper Pink/Green Strike' is available to buy now, bringing a unique piece of 1990s football nostalgia to modern sneaker culture.
