A bizarre equipment failure occurred during Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash between Celtic and Falkirk, as young Celtic right-back Colby Donovan saw his NikeMercurial Vapor boot completely snap in half mid-match.
The soleplate and midfoot structure had fractured cleanly across the center, leaving the toe part detached and dangling from the front half of the boot.
Luckily, Donovan escaped any foot or ankle injury from the incident and was able to swap into a fresh pair of boots to complete the match.
