Adidas to Have Four New Local Elite Teams
- New Local Elite Teams: Celtic and Roma will become new local Adidas elite teams starting in the 2025-2026 season, joining Aston Villa and Newcastle.
- Elite Team Tiers: Adidas has two tiers of elite teams, global and local, with the local teams receiving authentic kits and additional lifestyle collections, but with limited global distribution of kits.
- Adidas European Teams: In the 2025-2026 season, Adidas will have 6 global and 4 local elite teams in Europe.
Update: Aston Villa and Newcastle United are already local Adidas Elite teams - both have received authentic (Heat.Rdy) home & away kits, plus they just got new training kits for 2025. They will be joined by Celtic and Roma next season, who will also get authentic kits. Other local Adidas Elite teams are from the Americas - Boca Juniors, Flamengo, River Plate, and, from 2026, Club America.
From the 2025-2026 season, Adidas will have 10 elite teams in Europe - 6 global and 4 local.
4 Teams Become Local Adidas Elite Teams
Celtic (Scotland) and AS Roma (Italy) are the two teams that will become new Adidas local elite teams from the 25-26 season.
Local Elite teams get authentic kits and a lot of lifestyle/extra collections. However, the authentic kits are only released in the team's countries (and a few international markets), but not globally "at every store."
In the 2025-2026 season, the local Adidas Elite teams will probably receive the Trefoil logo on the 25-26 third kits.
In addition to the 10 confirmed European Adidas 25-26 elite teams, Adidas is still considering making Ajax an elite team, but for the 26-27 season.

European Adidas 25-26 Elite Teams
Bayern, Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Arsenal are Adidas' global European Elite Teams. The four others (Roma, Celtic, Aston Villa, Newcastle) are local Elite teams.
