Neymar Trains in Completely Modified Nike Hybrid Boots

Unique player, unique boots. FC Barcelona striker today laced up in unique blackout Nike Football Boots featuring a upper design that Nike hasn't used for any soccer cleat yet. Let's get into the details.

In early August 2015, Neymar already laced up in completely modified blackout Nike Prototype Soccer Cleats with a similar upper structure, while he was out for two weeks by mumps illness until last week. We now finally got various close-up pictures of the mystery Neymar Boot.

Neymar Reveals Completely Modified Nike Cleats

Close-up of the never-seen-before Neymar Nike Football Boots.

The custom Nike Neymar Boots feature a remarkable honeycomb upper structure, which reminds us of the NikeSkin upper of the popular first-gen Nike Hypervenom Phantom Cleats. Made for ball control in any conditions, the unique golf ball-like appearance was ditched for the second-generation of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots.

Nike combines the upper with the trademark Dynamic Fit collar, which was also introduced for the Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Soccer Boots. Compared to the regular Nike Hypervenom Boots, Neymar's custom blackout Nike Prototype Boot features an enlarged area without NikeSkin for the tongue.

Traditionally, Neymar uses the sole plate and stud configuration of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV Boots instead of the standard outsole of the Nike Hypervenom.

In summary, it can be said that Nike created a hybrid version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom I (upper), Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 (Dynamic Fit collar) and Nike Tiempo Legend IV (sole plate) to offer the Brazil international Neymar a bespoke product.

It's definitely an one-of-a-kind boot. Would you like to wear the custom Nike Hypervenom Phantom Cleats featuring the famous upper of the first-gen Hypervenom? Let us know in the comments section below, and watch out for Neymar's Boots in the coming weeks.
