A Glimpse at What Could Have Been - Real Madrid 15-16 Home Kit Prototype Revealed
Thanks to images of a prototype of the Real Madrid 15-16 Home Jersey which surfaced online, we are able to get unique insight on the design process an important football shirt such as the Real Madrid Kit goes through before being officially unveiled.
Real Madrid 15-16 Home Kit Prototype
This is the early version of the classy Real Madrid Home Kit that surfaced online.
Based on the entirely same template and design principles as the actual Real Madrid 2015-16 Home Jersey, the Real Madrid 15-16 Home Shirt Prototype boasts much more gray details, as both the sleeve cuffs and the hem come with contrasting color.
Additionally, Adidas actually planned to use a monochromatic variant of the iconic Real Madrid logo, colored solely in white and gray.
Last but not least, the inside of the shirt is also different from the Real Madrid Shirt that made it into retail. Instead of featuring only the club crest and a 'hala madrid y nada más' inscription, the early version of the Real Madrid 2015-2016 Home Shirt shows two stylized globes on each side of the crest, with the text below simply reading 'siempre real' (always Real).
We think the 'real' Real Madrid 15-16 Home Kit is one of the best ones released this summer and that all of the late changes applied by Adidas contributed to that fake.
