Man Utd Youngster James Wilson Trains in Revolutionary Adidas 2016 Boots
Manchester United striker James Wilson has become the next player to train in a revolutionary Adidas Soccer Cleat after FC Bayern Munich striker Thomas Müller and FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi laced up in never-seen-before boots in the past weeks.
James Wilson, who has signed a new contract with Manchester United until 2019 yesterday, is one of the 10 players who have been backed by Messi to wear the signature Adidas Messi 2015-2016 this season.
James Wilson Reveals Revolutionary Adidas 2016 Cleats
Close-up picture of the laceless James Wilson Boots.
The mystery Adidas 2016 James Wilson Soccer Cleats feature a totally new design with almost no laces, but an one-piece synthetic that is combined with a Dynamic Fit collar for a sock-like fit with no distractions. But which boots is James Wilson wearing?
He is not wearing the revolutionary Adidas Messi 2016 Boots, which feature a completely new design with extremely short laces and no external heel counter. But he is also not wearing the next-gen Adidas X 16.1 Boots, which feature a traditional tongue design.
In fact, the mystery Adidas 2016 Prototype Football Shoes worn by James Wilson are the same boots used by Bayern München and German international Thomas Müller one month ago. While we have no idea yet what exactly they were wearing, it's possible that it's either a totally new Adidas Boot or a special version of the Adidas X Boots, designed to offer even more cutting-edge technologies than the Adidas X 16.1.
Therefore, we also have no additional information about the technologies used for the never-seen-before boots and are not able to provide more details than those which can be seen on the pictures.
This boot is definitely a revolution. Do you have any idea what James Wilson and Thomas Müller are wearing? Let us know in the comments below.

Portuguesa 2026 Third Kit Released - Tribute to Portugal Ahead of 2026 World Cup
Brazilian club Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, commonly known as Portuguesa, has officially launched its new third kit for the 2026 season. Produced by technical sponsor Joma, the new uniform pays direct homage to the Portuguese national team, celebrating the club's deep historical roots as Portugal prepares to compete in the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
The new Portuguesa 2026 third jersey closely mirrors the classic look of the Portuguese national team, featuring a vibrant crimson red base enhanced by subtle jacquard detailing that provides a sense of movement to the fabric. The shirt is structured with a classic polo collar adorned with red and white edging and a green front point insert. The sleeves remain red with contrasting green underarm panels, while the cuffs match the collar's red and white trim.
Further solidifying the international tribute, the official coat of arms of Portugal is prominently displayed on the nape of the neck above the white player numbering. The alternative uniform is completed by green shorts and red socks, finalizing the classic Portuguese color scheme.
The kit is set to make its on-pitch debut this Saturday, May 16th, in a match against Água Santa.
Athletico Paranaense 26-27 Away Kit Released
Athletico Paranaense and Umbro have officially launched the Brazilian club's new away jersey for the 2026-2027 season. It will make its on-pitch debut in the Copa do Brasil against Atlético Goianiense.
The new Athletico Paranaense 2026-2027 away kit is white, with the traditional team colors prominently featured through a striking red and black gradient effect applied across the shoulders.
The uniform is further detailed with various subtle graphic elements referencing the history and symbols of the club, which are placed on the inside of the collar, the back hem, and within the custom numbering.
