David Silva Debuts Blackout Next-Gen Adidas Ace Primeknit Boots
This is anything but expected. David Silva made his much-awaited return in today's Premier League clash against Southampton after an injury forced him out since early October wearing a blackout version of the next-gen Adidas Ace 16+ Primeknit Boots. Quite logically, he also wore the blackout boots in yesterday's training session.
Set to be launched in mid-January 2016 with a bold Solar Green paint job, the next-generation Adidas Ace 2016 Primeknit Soccer Cleats introduce a totally new outsole and a much higher techfit collar than the first generation of the knitted boots. To make a bolder statement on the pitch, the second-gen Adidas Ace Boots also boast much more remarkable 3 Stripes on the upper than the first-ever edition of the boots.

David Silva wore a non-modified version of the blackout next-gen Adidas Ace 16+ Primeknit Boots. Featuring a stealth look, the blackout design of David Silva's Boots is only interrupted by white elements on the laces.
It's the first time that the next-gen Adidas Ace 2016 Boots have been spotted in an actual match after various players such as James Rodríguez already laced up in the blackout version of the next-gen Adidas Ace Boots in recent training sessions.
A much too early on-pitch debut. Do you think he got the OK from Adidas to wear them this early? Let us know in the comments below.

Swiss-Ski released the Chäs-Trikot 2026 (Cheese Jersey) on May 29, 2026, a limited-edition football jersey produced in exactly 2,026 pieces. The retro-style shirt draws direct inspiration from the legendary "Käsedress" worn by Swiss alpine skiers between 1992 and 1998, featuring a bright yellow base with digitally reconstructed Emmentaler cheese hole patterns from the original racing suit, a white polo collar and the traditional Swiss-Ski federation logo. The design serves as a crossover between winter sports heritage and fan culture, promoted under the slogan 'From the mountain peak to the fan curve'.
