Umbro and 1. FC Nürnberg Sign Long-Term Kit Deal
Umbro is the new kit supplier of Bundesliga 2 teams 1. FC Nürnberg. Taking over from long-term supplier Adidas, Umbro will supply the Nuremberg football jerseys for at least five seasons, starting in 2016.
Nürnberg Signs Umbro Kit Deal
Umbro has been making big strides by securing several high-profile kit contracts over the last few years, including the likes of Everton and West Ham. Now the brand has signed its first major team in Germany since it split from Nike a few years ago. And there probably won't be a more fitting partnership for the traditional English brand, as Nürnberg celebrated its biggest-ever success, the 1968 Bundesliga championship, wearing the iconic Double Diamond on its shirts.
Paul Nugent, Creative Brand Leader at Umbro, commented on the deal: "Our partnership with Der Club is of great importance for Umbro, as it marks the brand's return to Germany. We are working together very closely with 1. FC Nürnberg, because we'd like to create a stylish, technical and especially a very personal collection for the club."
