Boot Watch #007 | FA Cup, Murillo, Totti

We're back with episode 7 of Boot Watch overall, the second of the year. This weekend's FA Cup matches provided lots of interesting boot spot possibilities, while the Italian and Spanish leagues also continued their respective schedules.

Lee Holmes - Blackout Nike Mercurial Vapor X CR7

This weekend's FA Cup matches allowed for lots of lower league teams in England to take the center stage, including Exter City who held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw. Exter's Lee Holmes provided an interesting boot spot on the occasion by lacing up in partially blacked-out Nike Mercurial Vapor X Cristiano Ronaldo boots from the Gala collection.

Yoann Gourcuff - Blackout Adidas Copa Mundial

Rennes' Yoann Gourcuff, who had been wearing Puma football boots for some time, decided to make a switch to blacked-out Adidas Copa Mundial soccer cleats for the game against Lorient. Thanks to @Footpack for the spot.

Eljero Elia - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV

Feyenoord's Eljero Elia opted to give his Nike Mercurial Superfly football boots to a custom touch by essentially cutting off most of the model's iconic Dynamic Fit collar.

Jeison Murillo - Nike Magista Obra

After wearing blackout Nike Magista Obra boots in Inter's mid-week fixture, center back Jeison Murillo was back in the regular "Metallic Pewter" colorway this weekend.

Robbie Fowler - Nike Tiempo Legend V

Appearing in a Liverpool Legends match, former Reds star Robbie Fowler went for a truly unique pair of Nike Tiempo Legend V boots with blacked-out brandings and extensive taping.

Adnan Januzaj - Nike Mercurial Superfly

In one of his last training sessions as a Borussia Dortmund player, Manchester United's Adidas Januzaj wore a pair of standard Nike Mercurial Vapor X soccer cleats from the latest Liquid Chrome Pack.

Announced as a player of New Balance's re-ignited football boots business a year ago, Januzaj actually continued sporting Nike Mercurial boots and it now looks as if he's officially back with the Swoosh.

Muhamed Bešić - Nike Mercurial Superfly

Another player to go for the collar-less look this week was Everton's Muhamed Bešić, who laced up in orange and white Nike Mercurial Superfly boots from 2014.

Abou Diaby - WizWedge

Former Arsenal ace Abou Diaby grabbed a lot of the attention this week, appearing in football boots from a new brand altogether. WizWedge aims to offer a low-key and traditional take at the soccer cleat in order to reduce the risk of injuries; and what better player would there be to endorse this concept than Diaby.

Everything about the totally new WizWedge football boot.

Francesco Totti - Nike Tiempo Legend VI

Francesco Totti made his much-awaited return to the pitch for AS Roma this weekend. Ready for the occasion where his extremely customized Nike Tiempo boots, based for the first time on the sixth-generation Nike Tiempo Legend VI.

David Buchanan - Blackout Umbro Velocita

Another boot spot from the FA Cup is Northampton's David Buchanan who laced up in what appeared to be a pair of blackout Umbro Velocita football boots. A classy choice no doubt.

Sarper Baris Saka - Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7

One of the more unusual spots this week was provided by Turkish referee Sarper Baris Saka who laced up in a pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly Cristiano Ronaldo signature boots in Galatasaray's cup match this weekend.

That's it for episode seven of Boot Watch. We hope you enjoyed it and as always, please let us know if you find an error or have another interesting spot we missed.
