Revealed: Sky Bet Wanted To Become Premier League's Title Sponsor
Chief Sports writer Frank Dunne today revealed at the SpoBiS (Europe's biggest sports business conference) that Sky Bet planned to become Premier League's title sponsor in the case that the league wouldn't have decided to keep sponsorless from the 2016-2017 season.
English Premier League to Be Just Called 'The Premier League' From The 2016-17 season
Last summer, it was revealed that the English Premier League decided not to have a title sponsor from the 2016-17 season. Therefore, the league will be just called 'The Premier League'. The Premier League have been sponsored by Barclays since 2004, while the competition was previously known as FA Barclaycard Premiership.

A Premier League spokesman said back then: "Barclays has been an excellent partner for the League throughout their sponsorship of the competition and we look forward to working with them in 2015/16, the final season of their title sponsorship."
The Italian Serie A will be likely the only Top 5 league to have a main sponsor from next season (Spanish bank Liga BBVA will also not remain main sponsor for the Spanish 1st and 2nd division from the next season).
