Volkswagen Extends DFB-Pokal Kit Sponsorship Deal

German car makers Volkswagen will remain with their logo on the sleeves of all DFB-Pokal Kits until at least 2022. The new Volkswagen DFB-Pokal sponsorship deal was officially announced today.

VW and DFB extended their deal for six further years.

Volkswagen's deal with the German Football Federation (DFB) began in 2012. The deal was originally signed until 2016, while the new deal that was announced today sees an extension of the contract for six further years. No other contract details were disclosed yet.

"Our commitment in the DFB Cup is a great success story," says Thomas Dental, Sales and Marketing Director of Deutschland Volkswagen PKW. "Nowhere else we can better and broader present what our passion for football is. Football is and remains an important pillar of our sponsoring strategy."
