Video Offers First-Hand Look at Nike Hypervenom II Boots with Old Upper
The people at VT Sports Direct, a Vermont-based soccer retailer, got their hands on the highly anticipated Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Euro 2016 boots, the first to return to the popular upper material and shape of the first generation. Taking full advantage of the opportunity, they have produced a comprehensive hands-on video that shows off the reworked cleats.
Nike Hypervenom Phantom II with Old Upper - Hands-On
Featuring the bold 'Volt' Euro 2016 paint job of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom II which, as we know, is the first second-gen Hypervenom boot to return to the iconic honeycomb upper of the first generation, the video allows us to get a better impression of the reworked construction. The Nike Hypervenom II Euro 2016 cleats will be launched in the first week of June.
While the upper is clearly (at least) inspired by the original Nike Hypervenom, released 2013, other features of the second generation such as the heightened Flyknit collar and the lateral Flywire strings are retained. This way, Nike hopes to tackle criticisms which claimed the upper of the Nike Hypervenom II boots was stiffer and less flexible than that of the first generation.

FC Groningen 2026-27 Home Kit Released
FC Groningen has unveiled its home kit for the 2026-27 season, made by Robey Sportswear. The shirt retains the club's traditional green and white colors, with longer green stripes that extend below the logo. "Groningen Home of Talent" appears prominently on the front.
The 'G' from the club logo features centrally throughout the Robey collection, placed on the chest, between the stripes at the back of the neck, and on the shorts. Details from the Groningen city flag in white-green-white are incorporated into the collar, sleeves, and socks.
