Kevin Mirallas Debuts Blackout Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor Boots
Everton's Kevin Mirallas caught the attention on the last match day of the season, wearing a pair of blackout boots. But instead of sporting a well-known model in a blacked-out variant for contract reasons, the winger laced up in a pair of unreleased Nike Mercurial Vapor XI cleats.

Mirallas opted for the SG (soft ground) version of the unreleased Nike speed boots which, just like their Superfly V counterparts, introduce a new upper structure dubbed "speed ribs". Other than the overhauled upper, the new Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots are akin to their predecessors.
In order to disguise the tech and features of the shoes, Mirallas wore a blackout variant which will not be released to the public. Set to be worn by many high-profile players during this summer's international tournament, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 will be launched in a striking red-and-black paint job in early June.
