All-New Adidas Copa 2017 Boots Released
The Adidas Copa is back. Having run a three-silo approach since the relaunch of its football boot collection in 2015, Adidas today expanded its range with the launch of an all-new soccer cleat, the Adidas Copa 17.
Combining red, white and black in a traditional colorway, the first-ever Adidas Copa 17.1 football boots were released on November 16, 2016, and are inspired by Adidas' most iconic soccer boot, the Copa Mundial. They form part of the Adidas Red Limit pack.

This image shows the first-ever Adidas Copa 17.1 soccer boot colorway, part of the Red Limit collection.
The all-new Adidas Copa 17 football boots get introduced with an interesting half-and-half look. While the front of the new Adidas Copa 2017 cleats is red, the rear and sole plate are predominantly white. Black Adidas, Copa and Three Stripe brandings round off the overall clean look of the new Adidas Copa 17.1 boots.
In terms of tech and construction, the new Adidas Copa 2017 Red Limit soccer boots, while taking inspiration from the Adidas Copa SL cleats that dropped in April, feature a real kangaroo-leather upper, at least for the front three quarters of the shoe. The rear of the Adidas Copa 17.1 cleats, colored white in the initial paint job, is made of a leather-like synthetic in order to offer more stability and durability in those key areas. Other features of the new Adidas Copa 17 boots include a fold-over compression tongue and an Ortholite sockliner.
Last but not least, the sole plate of the Adidas Copa 2017 football boots is almost identical to that of the Adidas Copa SL and the Adidas Ace 16, apart from some small differences and the visual design. It comes with 11 conical studs aligned in a classic set-up, as well as an arch in the midfoot area for increased stability.
Since they are one of Adidas' high-priced four football boot silos, the Adidas Copa cleats are expected to receive high-profile on-pitch player support, unlike for example the Adidas Gloro. Unfortunately, it is impossible to say which players will wear the new Adidas Copa boots in the end, but make sure to keep an eye out for unusual blackout boots on the feet of players signed for the Three Stripes.
Set to be available to buy shortly, the all-new Adidas Copa 17.1 Red Limit soccer cleats retail at a price of $200 (€200, £150). They will be available for AG (artificial grass), FG (firm ground) and SG (soft ground) surfaces.
