Real Madrid, No More The Team of Old Boots?

Most of Real Madrid's players made the switch to the latest football boot models and colorways in training. This list includes Isco, Benzema and Marcelo, while Kroos and Coentrao still sport old boots.

Real Madrid's Players Switch to New Boots in Training

Continuing what we had been seeing in recent weeks, especially in training, Real Madrid's lineup against Real Betis more or less did not include a single player wearing the latest football boot models and colorways.

Real Madrid's Old Boots vs Betis

Cristiano Ronaldo was one exception, lacing up in the most recent colorway of the Nike Mercurial Superfly V, but players such as Benzema, Isco and Marcelo all played in outdated models.

Isco wore a Nike Mercurial Vapor IX, unveiled during the latter stages of the 2012-13 season, just as he had in training, while the two other players continued to wear Adidas X15+ SL cleats. Maybe they were inspired by midfielder Toni Kroos who continues to wear Adidas 11pro boots, a silo that was discontinued more than a year ago.
