Happy Birthday! Here is Luis Suárez' Full Boot History
Barcelona and Uruguay striker Luis Suárez celebrates his 31th birthday today, reason enough for us to take a look through his illustrious career, from a football boot angle.
Born on January 24, 1987 in Salto, Uruguay, Luis Suárez' professional career kicked off with local side Nacional in 2005. Stellar performances earned Suárez a move to Groningen in the Eredivisie in 2006 and on to Dutch giants Ajax just a year later. Boots-wise, Suárez, who is now a well-known Adidas player, used to wear Nike Mercurial boots in those early days.
In fact, it wasn't until 2008 that Suárez, who was still at Ajax, switched brands and moved from the Nike Mercurial to the Adidas F50. He continued wearing the different generations of the Adidas F50 soccer cleats up until they were discontinued in 2015.
Nowadays, Suárez, as you'll all know, plays for FC Barcelona and wears Adidas X 17+ Purspeed boots.
