Lazio Reveals Historic Kit Sponsor For Rome Derby
The kit of Italian Serie A club Lazio in tomorrow's Derby against AS Roma will feature historic shirt sponsor Seleco on the front, it was announced by the club today. For ten years, since the 2006-2007 season, Lazio had no longer a permanent sponsor on their shirt. In this long period various brands have been featured on Lazio's kits.
Seleco was recently acquired by Twenty (formerly owned the Magnadyne) with the aim of relaunching the production of television sets.
Lazio Announces Seleco Sponsorship Deal
The official club statement does not clarify whether the agreement was only signed for the derby or if Seleco will be on the front for even more matches.
Lazio had been already sponsored by Seleco between 1982 and 1984
The Seleco logo on the front is linked to the mythical 'Flag Jersey', which was released for the first time ahead of the 1982-83 season, the season in which Lazio manged to return to the Serie A after two years in the second division.
