AFC Wimbledon To Have Two Different Kit Brands in 2017-18 Season

AFC Wimbledon this week announced that they have signed a new kit supplier contract with Puma. Puma replaces previous shirt supplier Admiral Sports, who became the club's kit maker in 2014.

AFC Wimbledon To Launch Only New Puma Third Kit For 2017-18 Season

AFC Wimbledon will keep their Admiral 16-17 home & away kits in the 2017-18 season.

In support of the kit lifecycle commitment made in the Club's Fans Charter, the deal will first only introduce a new Puma third kit, Training and Bench Wear from the start of the 2017-18 season, alongside the Club's current 2016-17 home and away kits. The club will launch a full Puma range for the 2018-19 season.

AFC Wimbledon was founded by Wimbledon FC supporters in June 2002 as a direct reaction to the decision by an independent commission appointed by the Football Association to allow Wimbledon F.C. to relocate to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

AFC Wimbledon Commercial Director, Ivor Heller, announced details of the product launch event as part of the new Puma agreement, "I have been really impressed with the transition to Puma. We are now part of a worldwide family and we have been made to feel very welcome.

"The quality of the new training wear and third kit is exceptional. I look forward to revealing all of it at our Kit Launch-Meet the Manager event on Friday the 7th of July at 7.30 pm. I am sure the middle bar at the Cherry Red Records Stadium will be rather busy after this news.''

Ruth How, Head of UK Marketing at Puma, shared her pleasure at the announcement of the deal between the two parties. "We're delighted to be able to work with a club which truly puts its supporters at the heart of everything they do. We are proud of the association and look forward to a fantastic working understanding with everyone at the Club.

"Looking ahead, I am sure the relationship will be successful and we are proud to be supplying the Dons with their kit for the coming seasons."

The relationship between AFC Wimbledon and Puma will be managed by Genesis Teamwear.
