Adidas to Release Limited-Edition Predator Accelerator Remake Boots?
Rumors afloat this morning that Adidas could bring back another Predator from its back catalog in the form of the Adidas Predator Accelerator after David Beckham posted an image of Instagram and Adidas enthusiast @thepredcollective shared pictures of three original Adidas Predator Accelerator boots.
Launched in time for the 1998 World Cup, the Adidas Predator Accelerator was headlined by Beckham and Zidane, who wore the boots winning the World Cup.
Adidas to Release Predator Accelerator 2017 Remake
It's not known if Adidas will release the Predator Accelerator at all, and there is also no info which colorway the Three Stripes would bring back. The @thepredcollective posted pictures of three colorways (black, white, red), but is it very unlikely that the Three Stripes will bring three paint jobs at once.
The original Adidas Predator Accelerator featured a kangaroo-leather upper, a fold-over tongue, a new asymmetric lacing system allowing for a wider, more pure striking surface and a semi-transparent outsole.
If the rumors would prove true, the Adidas Predator Accelerator 1998 remake soccer cleats would be launched within the next few weeks, ahead of the launch o the all-new Adidas Predator 18 football boots.

Schlotterbeck Deliberately Wears His Football Socks the Wrong Way Round
Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck has a very specific habit regarding his matchday attire. The centre-back deliberately wears his football socks the wrong way round - the back is on the front, and the front is on the back.
In 2025, the Borussia Dortmund & Germany center back once told SPORT1 that this was one of his unique habits.
