Nike Extends Portugal Kit Deal
Nike and the Portuguese football federation today announced that they have reached an agreement to extend their partnership until 2024. Nike has been Portugal's jersey supplier for 20 years now.
Nike and Portugal FPF Extend Partnership
No financial details on the extended Nike Portugal kit deal were disclosed, but both parties voiced their content with the arrangement.
Bert Hoyt, VP/GM, Nike EMEA says, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with the FPF. Nike Football will continue to provide the most innovative football kits and we look forward to continued success together.”
Fernando Gomes, President of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) says, “It has been twenty years since Nike started collaborating with the FPF. Since then, the first team has qualified for ten consecutive final stages, including next summer's tournament in Russia. ”
“We are proud to extend our relationship with a brand that shares the FPF’s values. The agreement is based on rigour, loyalty and stability, not forgetting professionalism”, explains the Federation’s President, and he further reveals that the FPF and Nike would “explore new opportunities for both brands throughout these six years."
