Exclusive: Neymar Receives 'Camouflaged' Leather-Like Nike Mercurial Signature Boots

At first glance, Neymar's custom Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Puro Fenomeno soccer cleats appear to be identical as the retail version of the cleats. However, a closer look reveals that Neymar is wearing a quite heavily modified version of his 2018 signature boots.

Neymar posted this picture on his Instagram yesterday.

The most obvious difference between Neymar's custom boot and the retail edition of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Puro Fenomeno cleats are the tongue and laces. Neymar's cleat comes with a totally custom tongue and more thin laces.

The second, less remarkable difference is the upper of the cleats. Whereas Neymar's cleats appear to have a leather upper, the regular Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Puro Fenomeno cleats come with a shinny, 100% synthetic upper.

Apart from the tongue and the upper, Neymar's custom cleats seem to be the same as the standard edition of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Puro Fenomeno football boots.
