Phillipe Coutinho's Barcelona Shirt Number Announced
Following Javier Mascherano's transfer to China, Phillipe Coutinho's shirt number at Barcelona has been revealed as No 14, taking from the Argentinian center back.
Number 14 was already one of the main options alongside 7, which according to some media could be going to Antoine Griezmann next summer. Unlike in other leagues, La Liga only allows players to wear a number from 1 to 25 (and thus squads limited to 25 players), with only youth players allowed to take the higher numbers.
All of this means that Coutinho is ready to go and debut for Barcelona, most likely in tomorrow night's Copa del Rey outing against city rivals Espanyol.
