No Icardi - Adidas and Nike Dominate Argentina 2018 World Cup Squad
The Argentine Football Association recently announced the 23 players that will make the way to the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer. We take a look at the soccer cleats worn by Argentina's 2018 World Cup team.
Argentina's 2018 World Cup squad does not include Inter Milan striker Icardi. Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, who was initially nominated for the World Cup, suffered an injury and was replaced by Nahuel Guzma who plays for Liga MX club Tigres UANL.
Argentina 2018 World Cup Boots Battle

More than half of all Argentina players are sponsored by Nike (13), while Adidas makes the boots for 8 Argentinian players, including those of Lionel Messi. Puma sponsors Man City striker Aguero and PSG midfielder Lo Celso. The most popular boot silo is the Nike Mercurial (6), followed by the Nike Hypervenom (4) and Adidas Nemeziz (3).
