Tottenham Hotspur Players Drink From Strange Bottle - Here Is All You Need To Know

If you watched yesterday's match between Manchester United and Tottenham, you might have noticed that it looked odd when Spurs' players took a drink during the game. Find out all about the odd water bottles used by Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs Have Club’s Official Sports Drinks/Hydration Supplier Deal With O.R.S.

It is no coincidence that it is very eye-caching if Spurs players are drinking from bottles during the game - in October 2016, the club signed a special hydration deal with Clinova, a UK based global consumer healthcare company, to become the Club’s Official Sports Drinks/Hydration Supplier.

As the exclusive global sports drink supplier, Clinova will provide the innovative product O.R.S to all of the Club’s teams and medical staff. The O.R.S. products are soluble hydration tablets based on a scientifically balanced formula of glucose; electrolytes and minerals, which allows for optimal hydration when added to water.

However, while the products of the company are actually about hydration tablets, the sponsor decided to also supply Tottenham with a strange water bottle featuring a detachable inner straw, so it is more eye-caching if Spurs' players are drinking during a game or training session.

Arsalan Karim, Director of Research and Development for Clinova: “Tottenham Hotspur is one of the leading football clubs in the world and our new agreement with them places Clinova and our O.R.S product firmly at the elite level in professional football. We are excited to work closely with Spurs’ medical team to show how O.R.S can enhance player performance and to innovate and develop other products together in the future.”

Some players seem to be not happy about the bottle and screw off the lid of the bottle.

Other football club who are using O.R.S are Derby County FC, AFC Wimbledon, Brewers FC, Bolton Wanderers FC, Coventry City FC, Clyde FC, Bury FC, Gillingham FC and Burnley FC.
