Top 10 Best Selling Football Kits in 2018 Revealed - Not Reliable!
South American-based sports marketing agency Euromericas Sport Marketing this week published their annual ranking of the Top 10 teams that sold most shirts in Europe. Which club sold the most football jerseys in 2018?

It is important to note that it is very difficult to get exact numbers of football kits sold by each club. The main reason for that is that the clubs and brands do not publish those numbers as they are considered as confidential information, especially for other clubs and brands when negotiating new contracts.
We think that those numbers are not accurate and are too high. We do not think that Barcelona is selling so much less kits; Bayern Munich some years ago announced that they sold record-breaking 1.3 million kits (more than all other Bundesliga clubs together), and PSG said that they will sell more than 1 million kits for the first time in 2018-19 (they sold 800,000 in 2017-18).
Nevertheless, Euromericas Sport Marketing is somehow "the world reference in these figures". They have been releasing a Top 10 list of the teams that sold most kits since 2010. This is the reason why we are publishing the ranking.
The Top 10 Biggest Jersey Sellers In 2018
1. Manchester United (Adidas - England) 3,250,000
2. Real Madrid (Adidas - Spain) 3,120,000
3. Bayern Munich (Adidas - Germany) 2,575,000
4. FC Barcelona (Nike - Spain) 1,925,000
5. Liverpool (New Balance - England) 1,670,000
6. Juventus Turin (Adidas - Italy) 1,615,000
7. Chelsea (Nike - England) 1,525,000
8. Borussia Dortmund (Puma - Germany) 1,205,000
9. Paris Saint-Germain (Nike - France) 1,146,000
10. Manchester City (Nike - England) 1,085,000
Three Adidas teams lead the list, with Manchester United having conquered the top space from Real Madrid. One reason for that is the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus. Bayern Munich comes third.
Behind this duo are Bayern Munich with more than 2.5 million jerseys sold and FC Barcelona, which did not manage to reach the 2 million mark according to the agency. In the rest of the ranking, there are three other English clubs (Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City). Paris Saint-Germain comes 9th.
Adidas is the winner in the Top 10 list, even though Nike supplies the same number of teams as the Three Stripes (both four). New Balance and Puma have one team, respectively.
What is quite surprising for us is that Arsenal is not included in the Top 10 while Chelsea is ranked on position 7. We can well imagine that Arsenal will enter the Top 10 list next season when Adidas will make the Gunners' kits.
Are your surprised by any of these numbers? Which teams do you think will sell most jerseys in 10 years? Let us know in the comments below.
