FC Barcelona Announce Cupra Car Sponsor Deal

Barça announced Cupra as the club’s new Official Automotive and Mobility Partner, "in an agreement that will focus on innovation and the development of projects to improve mobility". Cupra replaces Audi - both car brands are owned by Volkswagen.



CUPRA is a brand of Seat, a Martorell-based subsidiary of the Spanish car manufacturer Seat. Seat is owned by Volkswagen, who are owning Audi, previous Barça sponsor. The Cupra brand was launched in 2018 as new car brand of Seat.

FC Barcelona and Cupra signed a sponsorship agreement for the next five seasons until the end of the 2023-24 season, through which Seat’s sports car brand will become the new Official Automotive and Mobility Partner of the club.

No financial details of the agreement were officially disclosed. The Audi contract, first signed in 2006, was worth an annual €5 million (US$5.5 million) but Barcelona were looking to double that, according to Spanish business outlet Palco23.
