FC Barcelona and Cupra signed a sponsorship agreement for the next five seasons until the end of the 2023-24 season, through which Seat’s sports car brand will become the new Official Automotive and Mobility Partner of the club.

No financial details of the agreement were officially disclosed. The Audi contract, first signed in 2006, was worth an annual €5 million (US$5.5 million) but Barcelona were looking to double that, according to Spanish business outlet Palco23.

"The strategic alliance goes beyond a traditional sponsorship arrangement, as besides collaborating on different activations through a wide variety of activities, both entities will work on the development of innovative projects aimed at the improvement of urban mobility."
