Huddersfield Charged Over Paddy Power Kit Stunt
As reported by Sky Sports, the FA have charged Huddersfield Town over the kit sponsorship stunt with Paddy Power last month.
Before Paddy Power publicly announced they would "unsponsor" the team, Huddersfield played a pre-season friendly wearing kits with an enormous sponsor patch across the front.
By wearing the kit, Huddersfield breached section C.2i of the Football Association's Kit and Advertising regulations. In there, it says that a sponsor logo is allowed in "one single area not exceeding 250 square centimetres on the front of the shirt".
Although the kit was later scrapped as part of the sponsor's "Save Our Shirt" campaign, the FA have charged the club for breaching regulations.
In July, an FA spokesperson said: "The FA has clear Kit & Advertising regulations for all club matchday kits.
"If we believe that any club has breached these rules we will look into the matter and, if required, will take the appropriate action."
Huddersfield have until August 16 to respond.
