CONFIRMED: Liverpool to Wear Nike Kits Next Season

Update: Following last night's report, we can confirm that Liverpool will wear Nike kits next season.

Despite no official confirmation from either party, all three Liverpool 2020-21 kit designs were already finished by Nike and are ready to go into production. We will bring you more details on the Nike Liverpool 20-21 kits shortly.

Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal with Nike ahead of next season, according to the Telegraph's Chris Bascombe.

Talks have been ongoing for a while and it looks like the deal is about to be finalized, easily eclipsing the £45 million a year Liverpool currently earn from New Balance. While no details are given in the article, it's stated that Liverpool's aim was to bring the Nike deal closer to the £75 million a year Adidas pay to Manchester United.

ESPNFC stated back in August that the Liverpool Nike deal would "exceed the value of Manchester United's £750million agreement with Adidas and become the biggest ever struck by a Premier League club."

Adidas x Manchester United deal is only exceeded by Barcelona's Nike (£98m / year) and Real Madrid's Adidas (£107m / year) deals.

The main reasons for Liverpool to part ways with New Balance are distribution and wanting the value of the deal more closely reflect the club's recent on-pitch support.

Should every go as expected, it will be the first time for Liverpool to wear Nike kits. Considering the relatively small lead-up time, it's likely that the Nike Liverpool jerseys will be rather basic, similar to the Chelsea and Tottenham's in 2017-18.
