'Hechter' Design Confirmed: PSG 20-21 Home Kit Info + Anthem Jacket Leaked

Update: We have obtained the first picture of the Paris Saint-Germain 2020-2021 anthem jacket, which confirms the 'Hechter' look for the home kit.

PSG's 2020-21 home kit will bring back the 'Hechter' look to the celebrate the club's 50th anniversary. This info was shared by our good friend @lasource75006 and we've since been able to confirm it.

The classic PSG look, which consists of a dark blue shirt with a red center striped flanked by two thinner white stripes, was created by fashion designer and former club president Daniel Hechter in 1973. It was inspired by the Ajax shirt, since the club was very successful around this time, and the colors of the French flag.

PSG's 2020-2021 home shirt will use the same color of blue as the last few PSG home shirts while bringing back the Hechter design - although it's the most iconic club look, it hasn't been used since 2011-12 (pictured below).

The PSG 2020-21 home shirt will be blue with a large center stripe and two thin wide stripes next to it. The Nike and PSG logos will sit atop the white stripes. A white v-collar will be used for Paris Saint-Germain's new 2020-21 home football shirt. Discussions are still going on to finalize the placement and size of the ALL sponsor.

The reason Nike will bring back the Hechter design for the PSG 2020-2021 home shirt is that PSG will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2020.

As pointed out by la source, the long wait since the last 'proper' Hechter shirt will likely generate a lot of hype for it when it finally gets released.

"[...] the white jersey and the upcoming Hechter will be a hit precisely because you have been deprived of them for a long time. Adidas does this with his Stan Smith by removing it episodically to bring it back [later]. Generate the lack..."

The Nike PSG 2020-2021 home football shirt will be released in May 2020.
