OFFICIAL: Celtic Announce Adidas Kit Deal
Confirming our story from late last year, Celtic this morning announced that they've signed a five-year kit deal with Adidas, replacing New Balance.
Starting 1 July 2020, the Celtic home, away and third kits will be produced by Adidas.
While no financial details were provided, the current New Balance Celtic deal was believed to be worth £25m over five years and the club have announced that the new Adidas deal is "believed to be the biggest kit sponsorship ever to be announced across Scottish sport."
Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell commented: “We are delighted to enter this new, long-term partnership with adidas, one of the world’s leading sports brands. We warmly welcome adidas to the Celtic Family and look forward to an exciting and successful partnership.
adidas added, “Celtic’s successful football history and future ambition make us hugely excited to be working together to create a new chapter with one of the most famous football clubs in the world.
Celtic had been with New Balance since the start of the 2015-16 season. The club was never been sponsored by Adidas before, with Umbro producing the kits up until 2005 and Nike from 2005 to 2015.
