Some weeks ago, we took a closer look at the Adidas Ajax 1992-93 away kit, which was actually based on the logo of their main sponsor ABN AMRO. However, Ajax has not been the only team in history to have a kit with design of a sponsor - we take a look at seven extraordinary jerseys based on sponsor logos. 7 | CD Nacional (Uruguay) x Pepsi 1998

Uruguayan club CD Nacional had a jersey based on Pepsi's can of that time in 1998.

6 | Eintracht Frakfurt (Germany) x Tetra Pack - 1993

A tribute to the logo of packaging specialist Tetra Pack, German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt had a complete set with the branding of Tetra Pack.

5 | Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica) x CocaCola - 1989.

Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa has a purple red main color for their kits in general. In 1989, they decided to opt for a more purple color, fitting CocaCola's Cherry can.

4 | CD Lugo (Spain) x Estrella Galicia - 2014

In 2014, Spanish club Club Deportivo Lugo launched a kit based on the look of beer, 'inspired' by main sponsor Estrella de Galicia.

3 | Evian (France) x evian - Early 2010s

French club Evian had been sponsored by water company evian for several years - many don't know their kits without that logo.

2 | Coventry City (England) x Tablot - 1982

English club Coventry City were the world's first team to have a football kit based on the logo of a sponsor. The design was even continued on the shorts - ridiculous.

1 | Bochum (German) x Faber - 1998

Bochum's colorful kit is possibly the most famous sponsor-based football jersey of all time. It has nothing to do with the club's traditional design / colors and was used in all Bundesliga matches.
