In Detail: Nike Chelsea 19-20 vs 20-21 Home Kits
Chelsea's new 20-21 home kit got released on July 1. Nike's new Chelsea 2020-2021 home uniform is totally different to the previous Chelsea home shirt by the Swoosh - we directly compare both jerseys to find out what all the differences are.
Nike Chelsea 19-20 3rd vs 20-21 Home Kits
After both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 home shirts were pretty similar at first glance (main color blue with white and red & same sponsor), the new Chelsea 2020-2021 home kit is totally different (blue, navy and white & new sponsor).
Design:
The Chelsea 2019-20 home shirt had a stunning all-over graphic print inspired by the roof of Stamford Bridge, whereas the Chelsea 2020-21 home kit has a subtle zig-zag all-over pattern.
All in all, it can be said that the Chelsea 2019-20 home shirt was designed to stand out, whereas the 2020-2021 home shirt is smart.
Collar:
Chelsea's 2020-21 home kit comes with a standard crew neck collar, whereas the Chelsea 2019-20 home kit had a special constructed v-collar.
Sponsor:
The Chelsea 2020-2021 home kit is the first to be sponsored by Three, who are replacing Yokohama Tyres.
Template:
The new Chelsea 2020-2021 home kit is based on the updated Nike Vaporknit template, which features a new fabric and other innovations. It also comes with a new cut and a new authenticity label on the lower left.
The Nike Chelsea 2020-2021 home kit will hit stores in July 2020.
