Inter Announce Digitalbits Sleeve Sponsorship Deal
Inter earlier today confirmed their new sleeve sponsorship with Zytara Labs / Digitalbits, shortly after the first rumors about an agreement being imminent started.
As part of the agreement, which the club states is worth €85 million over its duration, Zytara become Inter's "Official Global Digital Banking Partner" and Digitalbits becomes "Official Global Cryptocurrency".
Digitalbits is a Blockchain Network founded in 2017 and earlier this summer was announced as new main sponsor of Inter league rivals Roma. Curiously, Inter already replaced Pirelli with Socios (promoting the new Inter "Fan Token"), another crypto company, earlier this summer.
As part of the agreement, the club state that they are planning to integrate the XDB cryptocurrency into their operations and offer it as an option for payments both in the stadium and in the official store, whether this be online or offline locations.
It was also revealed that a limited run of merchandise will be made available in late September to celebrate the launch of the Inter x Digitalbits partnership.
Earlier reports in Italy had stated that the Digitalbits logo, which will appear on the left sleeve of the Inter 21-22 shirts, including in the Champions League, will bring in "over €3 million" per season.
Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of Inter, said: “We are proud to welcome Zytara as our new global partner and for Inter to officially join the DigitalBits ecosystem, who will also become our new sleeve sponsor. This agreement reflects Inter’s commitment to set the global standard for technological excellence. While digital-first experiences are vital for all sport clubs, our partnership aims higher. By leveraging Zytara digital banking and blockchain technology we will be able to enhance our global reach towards younger and digital savvy audiences.”
Al Burgio, Founder of Zytara and the DigitalBits blockchain, said: “This partnership with Inter, much like their heritage, is focused on excellence. Our collaboration will position Inter as one of the most technologically advanced and forward- thinking clubs in the world. We’re thrilled to partner with the reigning Italian champions and a club with such a rich history.”

Good or Bad? Rexona Armpit Sponsorship on 2026 World Cup Referee Shirts
Update - Tuesday, June 23, 2026: Following our publication, Rexona contacted us to provide additional context on the activation.
According to Ben Curtis, Global Brand Vice President for Rexona at Unilever, the sponsorship is intended to highlight fourth officials, who "may not always be the focus of attention but are at the centre of some of football's most intense and anticipated moments," as part of Rexona's "It Won't Let You Down" campaign during the FIFA World Cup 2026. "They need to remain cool and calm under pressure - That's exactly why this partnership is such a natural fit for Rexona."
The 2026 World Cup referee shirts feature one of the most amusing and strategic sponsorship placements seen in football. Deodorant brand Rexona has their logo positioned directly under the armpits of the match officials' jerseys, creating a highly contextual advertising opportunity.
The Rexona logo remains largely hidden during regular play but becomes clearly visible whenever a referee raises their arms to signal a free kick, award a penalty, or issue a card. This placement perfectly matches the deodorant product being advertised, resulting in a memorable piece of marketing on the sport's biggest stage.
While this specific placement has caught the attention of fans during the 2026 tournament, it is not entirely unprecedented. A similar concept was previously executed in Brazil, where Avanço deodorant sponsored the armpits of Corinthians. However, Rexona's execution at a World Cup brings the clever concept to a massive global audience.
