Chelsea's Mendy Wears Blackout Boots and Gloves - Here's What It's Likely About
Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy could be in for a brand switch, recent pictures suggest.
As reported first by UnderStuds, Mendy wore blackout boots and gloves, in both cases the Adidas Predator model, in training with the Senegal national team this week.
It's important to note that, while he did wear branded Adidas Predator boots, he did not wear gloves from the brand, opting instead for the Uhlsport Hyperact. In addition to that, it's the first time that Mendy is wearing the new-gen Predator Edge - he so far was wearing the last generation, Predator Freak.
As pointed out by UnderStuds, this could hint at Mendy trying to negotiate a deal to properly join Adidas, whereas before he might just have bought boots and gloves himself.
