Cruz Azul New Name and Logo - Club de Fútbol Cruz Azul Instead of Deportivo Cruz Azul

The new Cruz Azul football club is called "Club de Fútbol Cruz Azul" instead of "Deportivo Cruz Azul". The logo is similar to the old crest but comes without stars and the new name.

The previous name was registered in the name of the criminal guys of the concrete company

Cruz Azul are owned by a concrete company called Cementos Cruz Azul. People that were in charge of that company were ousted a couple of years ago due to money laundering accusations

Recently, it turned out the logo and the name "Deportivo Cruz Azul" were registered in the name of the criminal guys of the concrete company. So now Cruz Azul are changing their name and logo and name to avoid the previous guys claiming they still own "Deportivo Cruz Azul".
