Brescia to Sign Castore Kit Deal?

An image has appeared online of a Brescia training top made by Castore, which could indicate an upcoming deal between the Italian club and the English brand.

Castore to Sign Brescia?

This is the Castore-branded Brescia top.

Kappa are Brescia's current technical sponsor, having signed a six year contract with them in 2019, meaning there are still another three years to run on the deal. Of course, it is not uncommon for clubs to switch suppliers before the end of a contract. The Castore training top was likely produced along with other products to provide Brescia with a sample during initial negotiations.

What is not known at this point is when the top in the photo was produced. It could have been made recently, as part of a pitch to sign the Serie B side from the 23-24 season onwards, but it is also possible that Brescia were courted by Castore before the start of the 22-23 season but decided to stick with Kappa for the time being.

Castore showed their ambition by signing nine new clubs for the 22-23 season and beyond, including Genoa, Sevilla, Almeria and Bayer Leverkusen as part of their European expansion efforts. There were also rumours that Feyenoord and Lazio would join their roster, but those deals did not come to fruition in the end, so perhaps Brescia was another one that got away.
