Barcelona x Drake Shirt On-Pitch Debut
Update: Following Friday's big reveal of the first artist to appear on Barcelona's shirt as part of their Spotify deal, their home kit featuring Drake's OVO Sound logo was worn in today's game against Real Madrid. Check out the photos below.
The shirt will not bring back happy memories for Barca fans, unfortunately, as they lost the game 3-1. While Drake himself may not have been too emotionally invested in the outcome of the match, he did lose a €633,000 bet because of the result.
All Barcelona layers did also wear the No. 50 on their pre-match jerseys to celebrate the Drake's 50 billion Spotify streams.
How do you think the shirt looks on-pitch? Comment below.

Barcelona Shirts to Carry OVO Sound Logo vs Real Madrid
To celebrate Drake being the first artist to achieve 50 billion streams on Spotify, the logo of his record label, OVO Sound, will take the place of Spotify's logo on the front of Barcelona's shirts this weekend. It is the first of what we hope will be many variations on the shirt as part of the Spotify deal, as the music streaming service have been talking about plans to use the space of the front of the jersey in innovative ways.
Drake himself broke the news this morning with an Instagram post of the shirt sent to him with the gold logo emblazoned on the front. His name and the number 50 are printed on the back in reference to the record number of streams he has set. The Barcelona squad will warm up with the number 50 on the back of their training shirts before the match.
Juli Guiu, Vice President for the marketing area of FC Barcelona said:
“Our alliance with Spotify goes beyond a mere commercial relationship. It is a strategic relationship through which we seek to bring together two worlds that can arouse emotion, namely music and football.”
It seems as though the limited edition OVO shirts won't be for sale, but Barcelona have announced that they will do a giveaway for some fans and club members.
How do you think OVO's owl logo looks on the shirt? Who else would you like to see appear on the Barcelona's shirts in future? Comment below.
Michael Olise Wears Custom Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 Boots by Matty Boy
Michael Olise took to the pitch for his first 2026 World Cup match against Senegal wearing a unique pair of custom football boots. Rather than opting for one of Nike's current mainline models, Olise laced up in a personalized version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom III boots.
The boots were customized by artist Matt Digiacomo, widely known as Matty Boy. The design features a distinct hand-painted aesthetic, applying personalized graphics and details directly onto the classic Hypervenom Phantom III 'Just Do It', released in 2018. This choice by Olise highlights a continuing trend of players showcasing bespoke, artist-customized footwear during major tournaments.
The custom Matty Boy edition serves as a striking blend of high-performance football gear and individual streetwear-inspired artistry.
FC Luzern 2026-27 Away Kit Released
The new FC Luzern 2026-27 away kit has been officially released. Made by Erreà, the shirt will be worn during the club's 26-27 Swiss Super League campaign and follows the release of their 125th-anniversary home kit earlier in May.
The Erreà FC Luzern 2026-27 away shirt draws inspiration from one of the city's most representative architectural landmarks, the Jesuit Church. It features a sophisticated tone-on-tone ornamental pattern that runs discreetly across the fabric. A striking blue vertical stripe, enhanced by a subtle golden trim, runs down the center of the shirt, paying homage to the club's traditional colors and adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.
The new Erreà FC Luzern 2026-27 away jersey successfully connects the club's local heritage with a contemporary aesthetic. The kit is currently available to purchase through the official club store.

FIFA 2026 World Cup 'Golden Gloves' Patch Revealed
In Argentina's opening match against Algeria at the 2026 World Cup, which has just concluded, goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez wore a special "Golden Gloves" patch honoring the Golden Glove award he achieved at the 2022 World Cup.
Even more interestingly, this special patch was placed on his left sleeve rather than his right sleeve, unlike the special commemorative patches worn by other players who have earned similar honors.
