Exclusive: Nike to Bring Back CTR360 Maestri III Boots with Special Edition Release

We can reveal that Nike will bring back their CTR360 Maestri III boot from 2012 with a special edition release later this year.

Eleven years after it originally came out, the Nike CTR360 Maestri III is set to make a comeback. The CTR360 silo was part of Nike's boot line-up from 2009 to 2014. Three iterations were released in that time and it is the final version which Nike have decided to remake.

The CTR360 Maestri III had a dimpled upper made of synthetic Kanga-Lite material and incorporated Nike's All Conditions Control (ACC) technology. Eight rubber fins located on the instep created the "3D Control Zone", the boot's trademark feature. Andres Iniesta, Mario Balotelli, David Luiz and Sergio Busquets were some of the main ambassadors of the boot.

It was released in 2012 and replaced in 2014 by the Magista Obra. Across its two year lifespan, many different colourways were released. We can confirm that tour yellow/black/white will be used for the 2023 special edition release (as seen above). We have not received any info on other potential rerelease colourways for now.

The boot will be released with an FG soleplate. It is unclear for now if the original soleplate will be used or if Nike will opt for some of their current soleplate options, as Adidas have done with their various Predator rereleases.
