Thre are three diffeent 2023-2024 Bundesliga footballs. In addition to the regular "Bundesliga Brillant APS," the company also presented a Classic Official Match Ball. The Classic OMB will be used during Matchdays 1 and 2 of the Bundesliga.
Since the 2018-19 season, Derbystar have been the official ball supplier for the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, and the Supercup. Last year, the partnership between the DFL (German Football League) and Derbystar was extended until the summer of 2026.
Derbystar Bundesliga 60th Anniversary 23-24 Retro Ball - 1st & 2nd Matchdays
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Bundesliga, the DFL and Derbystar have collaborated on a special match ball for the first two matchdays of the 1. Bundesliga. The ball features a distinct color scheme reminiscent of the 1970s-era balls.
The "Bundesliga Brillant APS Classic" ball showcases 20 white hexagons from the 32-panel design. The 12 pentagons are presented in black and various shades of gray, fully embracing the retro look of classic football, as stated in the Derbystar press release.
The Bundesliga 2023-24 60-Years Anniversary Retro Ball evokes memories of the good old days when football legend "Kaiser" Franz Beckenbauer relentlessly pursued the ball on the pitch of the Munich Olympic Stadium.

For the rest of the 2023/24 season, teams will play with the new "Bundesliga Brillant APS" ball, where the dark retro pentagons will be replaced with vibrant colors.

Completing the selection of new match balls for the 1. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga is a neon-orange variant exclusively designed for matches played under poor visibility conditions.
