No More Puma: Harry Maguire to Join Adidas?
- Maguire Spotted in Adidas Boots: Harry Maguire was seen wearing Adidas Predator 25 boots during Manchester United's pre-season media day, suggesting a potential end to his partnership with Puma.
- End of Puma Partnership: Maguire had been a main ambassador for Puma since late 2019, primarily promoting the Puma King silo after leaving Nike.
- Adidas Deal Speculation: While Maguire wearing Adidas boots suggests a possible deal with Adidas, it could also be due to Adidas being Manchester United's kit supplier.
Update - 31 January 2026: In August 2025, Maguire only wore Predator boots during the media day for the new season, but a few days earlier, he appeared in a Manchester United training session wearing the latest Predator 26 “Born for Goals.” This seems to confirm that he has officially parted ways with Puma.
It appears that the long-term partnership between English defender Harry Maguire and Puma may be over. The Manchester United center-back was surprisingly spotted wearing the latest Adidas Predator 25 boots during the club's recent pre-season media day.
Harry Maguire to Leave Puma
In the new media day photos, Maguire was clearly seen wearing and handling the newest black, white, and volt Adidas Predator 25 boots. This has fueled strong speculation that the relationship between the player and Puma has quietly come to an end.
Harry Maguire has been one of the main ambassadors for the Puma King silo since he left Nike to join the German brand in late 2019.
Is a Deal With Adidas Imminent?
While seeing a player in a new brand's boots often signals an impending contract, this might not be a done deal just yet.
A simpler explanation could be that since Adidas is Manchester United's official kit supplier, their products, including the latest boots, are readily available in the dressing room. It is plausible that the club's kitman simply provided Maguire with a pair of Predator 25s for the photoshoot, especially if his contract with Puma has recently expired and he has not yet signed a new permanent agreement with another brand.
Earlier this year, Puma parted ways with one of its top brand ambassadors, Griezmann. He joined Decathlon shortly afterward.
What do you think about Maguire parting ways with Puma? Do you think Adidas would be a suitable destination for Maguire?
