Aston Villa Women to Wear Castore Training Shirts in Season Opener?

According to media reports, the Aston Villa women's team are dreading wearing the new kits because they are far too tight and stick to their bodies.

Interestingly, in their pre-season friendly against Villarreal, Aston Villa Women did not wear the official, "faulty" kit but a training top. With the training shirt, there evidently have been no problems, as pictures of the match seem to confirm.

Meanwhile, the women's team "absolutely hated" playing in the kit during a pre-season friendly with Chelsea. There are no images of that pre-season friendly, however.

The club have asked the supplier to find a solution for the men's and women's jerseys as early as possible.

It seems well possible that Aston Villa Women will not wear the Castore 23-24 home kit but their training top in their Women's Super League opener against Manchester United this weekend.
